About The Webmaster

You can call me R. I'm 28 years old and use they/them or he/him pronouns. I've been a pagan for quite a while. The curiosity has always been there. My grandparents would buy me books about Irish and Scottish fairy folklore. I was into Egyptian mythology as a kid and burried fake mummies and canopic jars in my grandparent's backyard. As I got older, I got more and more interested in the paranormal and was introduced to Wiccan witchcraft sometime in middle school by a friend (so, ~2009 or 2010). I didn't learn about other types of paganism until the year I graduated high school. During my Wiccan phase, I was mostly interested in Egyptian and Celtic deities. As I learned about more types of paganism and the many different ways somebody could be a pagan, the more I wanted to know. I generally describe myself as a reconstructionist pagan, spirit worker and occultist. I worship many different kinds of gods and take great interest in learning about their cultural contexts so I can better honor them. I am devoted to Apollon and Skadi and worship many others.

I also have a personal website, which can be found here.

About the Website

So, when I was first learning about paganism as a pre-teen/young teenager, through the lens of Wiccan witchcraft, I just had no idea that there were other options as far as paganism went. I thought being a pagan meant being a Wiccan, or maybe a Druid (though, I'm not sure how familiar I was with Druids at the time). I spent my teenage years feeling discomfort with Wiccan practices and the Wiccan worldview (particularly the gender essentialism and duotheism), but forced myself into the Wiccan box because of the admiration and fascination I felt when it came to the deities I spent so much time reading about. It wouldn't be until I graduated high school that I started becoming aware of different ways to be a pagan and the other practices that were out there that I just had no idea about.

This website, ideally, will be the sort of website I would have benefitted from when I was younger. Paganism and witchcraft are so much more than Wicca, horoscopes and appropriated Indigeonous practices. I think I will have met my goal if anything I shared was helpful for just one person.
